Difference between Oestrus Cycle and Menstrual Cycle

Oestrus Cycle:

Oestrus cycle is a 20 day cycle which is marked by the recurring appearance of oestrus or heat. It is the cyclic changes occurring during the reproductive phase of an animal. It is controlled by various hormones.

Menstrual Cycle:

Menstrual cycle is complex and controlled by many different glands and the hormones that these glands produce. The four phases of the menstrual cycle are menstruation, follicular phase, ovulation and the luteal phase.
